Naval Air Base in Pensacola FL

Along the second level of the museum, which runs around the outside edge of the building there is a wide walkway all the way around. This is to give another view of all the planes. Also along the outside walls are many things to see, and do. The next few photo's were taken along that level, also the couple at the end.

We went to the Pensacola Navy Air Base, to see the Naval Air  Force Museum.
What a wonderful museum to visit, the best museum that we have ever been to. I don't know how any can top this one for so many interesting things to see. It is not just airplanes, there are lots of other things there  to see also.  If you ever get  the chance to visit this museum you will not be disappointed, and it is free to tour the museum, which is on the base.
There are planes from WW1 up to today's time. The last two photos are of retired planes that were used by The
Navy Blue Angels. The four hanging from the roof are in a formation that they fly in for their shows.

More of the Guadalupe River in Kerrville TX.

Some views from the area between the motor home sites and the Guadalupe River. The water was not deep when I took these. They have had only 1/2 inch of rain since before October. The pictures of the trees really do not show their size. At ground level the largest one is about 18 feet across. The sites are higher up because of flooding when they do get a rain storm. This is the area that the deer use in the evenings when they come in for their supper, along with other birds and small animals. There are a couple of feeders that spread corn out at the same time every evening. Of all the campgrounds, Rv parks, and RV Resorts, that we have ever been in, this is by far the nicest one of them all.

Guadalupe River RV Resort Kerrville Texas

This is the view from Speedy.

Speedy Turtle is in the background.

Nice fire pit.

These two BBQ grills are made for big outings for sure. The two round stacks have round trays from top to the bottom. They can cook 30 chickens at a time on each side. There is also a grate in the middle where they cook large things like turkeys, and smaller pigs. The picture above is the other side where the wood is fed into the fire for both sides.

This one has the fire on the right side. The heat and smoke go to the left under the three sections in the middle then up the stack on the end. Which also has grates in it for smoking. Both are really nice for big BBQ's.

There is a large dam causing this very nicely layed out pond with fountains, two dams, many very large rocks and stones for the water to run over. From here it goes through a section of the park that has benchs and seats along the paths. The stream ends up in the Guadalupe River.
An all around nice place. We are going to be here for a month and will be leaving right after the first of the year. The sites are very nice with plenty of room with their 70 foot length. The site we are on just happens to be only 75 steps door to door to the saloon. Which has a real nice outside patio, with a  8 foot circle  brick  fire pit, a large screen TV, and two of the best smoker/cookers/ BBQ grills I have ever seen. Many many nice things could be said for the Resort. It runs along side of the Guadalupe River. The deer come out and feed along side of the river at the feeders the resort has. Plenty of things to do in this resort, inside and outside pool's, hot tub's, steam room, sauna room, work out room. Three laundry rooms, game room, etc.

Miltary Memorial in Milton FL. 11-2011

We went to the Memorial in the early evening just before sunset. It is next to the river walk in downtown Milton Fl. We rode with John and Linda. They decided that we should go in the early evening because it would be a lot more impressive with the sunset behind it. But, not as good for photo's.

Not much was said as we walked back to John's truck. It was sad, but we were all glad that we went there.
